Classroom workflow

1. Students enter a first name, last name, and school email. There is no password or online account.
2. Students complete Binary Basics, Bit Flips, the Odometer, Context Matters, Binary in Media, and Packet Harbor in sequence.
3. Browser autosave records meaningful progress. Students can use Save now at any checkpoint.
4. Students choose Save & Exit when leaving a shared computer, then enter the same email later to resume.

Backups and shared devices

Connect backup file updates one portable JSON file when the browser supports connected files. Other browsers download a backup instead. Students can also download a backup from the progress area and load it from the sign-in screen on another device.

Each backup includes the app identifier, version, student profile, current activity, progress, score, and save time. A backup from another Dr. Teach Tech app is rejected with a clear message.

Teaching notes

Ask students to explain how place value produces a decimal total, why an 8-bit unsigned number stops at 255, and how the same bits can mean different things under different encodings. The tool supplies practice and feedback; it does not generate answers for students.
